On Saturday, March 8th, during International Women's Day, OH Leuven Women and DHL eCommerce are once again joining forces to strengthen the community efforts of OH Leuven and support the 'OHL in de buurt' initiative. The goal is to get as many supporters as possible to the King Power at Den Dreef Stadium for the game between OH Leuven Women and KAA Gent Ladies to raise as much money as possible. To achieve this, numerous activities are being organized.
Buy your tickets here!
In line with the chosen charity, DHL eCommerce and OH Leuven are committed to equal opportunities for every girl playing football. Until the end of February, an initiative is running in local football clubs, where players Hannah Eurlings and Jeslynn Kuijpers are calling on youth teams to send in their ultimate supporter video. Every participating team will receive free tickets for the game and has a chance to win an exclusive meet & greet and a unique 'behind the scenes' match experience with the players.
Fun fundraising activities and prizes to win
During Women’s Day, various activities will take place, such as a raffle and "Guess the Balls". The winners of these challenges will be called onto the field during halftime, where they can choose from three DHL mystery boxes. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to play footbowling, where you can win ‘cheering sticks’. Outside the stadium, a panna cage will be set up. The highlight of the day is, of course, the Super League match between OH Leuven Women and KAA Gent Ladies, which will take place at 2:00 PM at the King Power at Den Dreef Stadium. Cheer-for-charity challenge
DHL and OH Leuven are calling on all youth teams in and around Leuven to come to the stadium in large numbers. Young players have a chance to win tickets, a meet and greet, and even a full VIP experience on March 8th. By participating in the cheer-for-charity challenge, they can cheer their favorite team to victory while winning fantastic prizes. To make this activation even more fun, we have placed life-sized cardboards at the clubs so that the young players feel even more involved in the action.
Seminare beforehand
In addition to the sporting activities, there will also be fascinating lectures by two inspiring female guests. Former top tennis player Dominique Monami and Professor Kirsty Elliott-Sale, an expert in sports science and gender studies, will share their insights and experiences with the audience starting at 11:00 AM. Here you can find more information and the registration form.
