OH Leuven Women and DHL strengthen their partnership

OH Leuven Women and DHL eCommerce Belgium are continuing their collaboration with a new format. The sponsor agreement has been renewed for at least two more years as from July 2024. DHL eCommerce Belgium is now also associated with the football club as a strategic partner. The focus of the partnership continues to be on OH Leuven’s women’s team.

Both parties see considerable potential in the strategic partnership, especially due to their similar vision on growth. Frank Van Hille, Managing Director of DHL eCommerce Belux, comments, “Our strategy is focused on strong growth for both our employees and our organisation. In line with this, we also want to support the women of OH Leuven and women’s top sport in general and facilitate them in taking advantage of opportunities, with a comparable focus on growth.”

Vision
How this growth is to be achieved is laid down in a charter. For example, both parties share specific ambitions in terms of socially responsible business practices, equality and ‘women in leadership’. Van Hille continues, “Thanks to our carefully cultivated relationship, we know each other well and are able to inspire and improve one another. The intentions defined in the charter offer guidelines for ways to optimise the performance of the women’s team and everything related to this. One of the focus points is more media attention through strong social media content. We’re convinced that we can contribute positively to this thanks to our experience and expertise.”

"Our strategy is focused on strong growth and in line with this, we also support the women of OH Leuven ."

New season
The OH Leuven women’s team had an exciting season in ’23-’24. They finished in an impressive third place in the competition and made it to the cup finals. This was achieved in alignment with the club’s vision: several new and young players seized the opportunity to further develop their skills. New head coach Arno Van Den Abbeel has clear ambitions: “We need to build further on the achievements of the past few years. OHL Women is at the top of the Belgian football pyramid and I can’t wait to continue moving forward.” Van Den Abbeel will be teaming up with Aline Zeler, who is stepping into the new role of Women Manager at OH Leuven Women.
